Junketsu Dogs in the Show Ring

In our experience, we’ve found that some dogs are naturals in the ring; other dogs, not so much. Showing dogs isn’t for everyone, but it’s something we like to do in order to support the clubs we belong to and because it’s always a pleasure to hang out with friends and meet other people who are interested in Japanese Akitas. Going to a show is probably one of the best ways to see a number of top quality dogs and to meet breeders and experienced owners. Whether we win or place, we just try to have fun. Plus, we often get a chance to re-connect with puppies we’ve bred!

Here are a few of our dogs at the annual AKIHO show in Los Angeles, the JACA-hosted UKC Nihon Ken Invitational or the UKC Japanese Akita Specialty.
